1) Great Weather

The average daytime temperature in Hawaii is between 78 and 85 degrees and this includes what we consider our “winter.” Hawaii has two seasons: summer, which falls between May and October, and winter, which is April to November. This consistent weather means one wardrobe, tons of time to spend outdoors, and loads of sunshine -- this is probably why Hawaii is consistency listed as one of the happiest states in America.

2) Tasty Food

Poke may be one of the latest food fads on the mainland, but did you know that the dish was created in Hawaii? Being surrounded by the Pacific Ocean has its advantages – fresh, local seafood that can’t be beat. Now, poke isn’t the only Hawaiian dish worth noting. We can’t leave out loco mocos, kalua pork, shaved ice and malasadas. Just talking about it is making us hungry.

3) Easy Access to the Beach

Oahu has about 112 miles of coastline and over 100 beaches, according to Trip Savvy. In fact, all beaches in Hawaii are open to the public. Easy access to the ocean means ample opportunity for active adventures like kayaking, stand up paddle boarding – which was invented in Hawaii, surfing – also invented in Hawaii, snorkeling, diving, fishing … we could go on and on.

4) Healthy Lifestyle

The beach isn’t the only place to stay active in Hawaii. Did you know that Oahu is home to hundreds of hiking trails? Yes, you read that right – hundreds. According to AllTrails.com, there are over 200 trails on Oahu. These range from easy to difficult, meaning there’s a hike for every skill level. Some of our favorites are Diamond Head, Manoa Falls, Koko Head and Makapuʻu Point Lighthouse Trail.

5) Vibrant Aloha Spirit

Aloha isn’t just a greeting or farewell – it’s a way of life. The direct translation of the word means love, peace and compassion and this is the attitude we share with our community and our environment.
